I’m Jade Park,
a writer of plays, fiction and essays.
Most of my stories start in everyday life. They begin in ordinary moments and quietly shift into something unfamiliar, shaped by memory, silence and the things left unsaid. I try to capture what people feel deeply but struggle to express.
I’m endlessly curious about how people make sense of their lives and how differently they can see the same thing.
I often think about the lives lived in between: between two places I call home, between beliefs, between who we are and who we’re expected to be. My first novel explores that last one through characters who must choose between their true and social selves.
I live in Melbourne, where I balance writing with research, ritual and long walks in imperfect weather.
